About the role We are seeking a permanent full time Health and Safety Assistant to join the Health and Safety Team at DWFRS. The Health and Safety team consists of a Senior Health and Safety Advisor, a Health and Safety Advisor as well as this role. The team provides fundamental support and advice to the Service enforcing on legislation, managing risk within the organisation, as well as providing day to day support and guidance to employees. Within the Service we have corporate and operational employees, so the role is varied and involves supporting both employee groups. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced Advisors, so this is a great opportunity to grow and develop your knowledge and skills. As a Health and Safety Assistant in our Health and Safety department you will: Provide support to the Health and Safety Team. Monitor, maintain and advise on Health and Safety systems. Act as a first point of contact for the Health and Safety Team. What makes you our ideal

Health and Safety Assistant: You will fulfil all essential requirements of the job role as listed on the Person Specification. You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work individually and as part of a team. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to uphold a strong attention to detail. You will be a competent user of Microsoft Office programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. Other Information You must have a full current driving licence and be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the role. Use of your own vehicle will be required; however, a Service vehicle may be available. Please note Service vehicles are manual transmission only. If you are unable to drive due to a disability, we would still welcome your application and will explore any reasonable adjustments that could be put in place. There will be a requirement to travel across the Service to provide support for the team as and when required. A
