You, the successful H&S professional, will provide accurate CDM advice in the education, healthcare, and residential sectors. My client promotes a fresh and vibrant working atmosphere. We are looking for a motivated and dynamic individual who is looking to be a part of the positive trajectory. As a H&S CDM/Principal Designer, you will be the lead consultant on several programmes across Essex and surrounding home counties. Your role includes liaising and collaborating with other construction professionals. You will run and coordinate the pre-construction phase of projects, ensuring compliance with CDM regulation 2015. Assessing risks to projects and providing high levels of H&S expertise, managing stakeholders, working closely with designers, identifying and mitigating risks ensuring projects are being delivered compliantly. Informing and assisting clients in discharging their duties at each stage of the process under CDM 2015. Visiting sites and carrying out an initial appraisal to establish existing hazards and site restrictions. Attendance at design team meetings, workshops, and project progress meetings. Setting up the design risk register and carrying out CDM design reviews/workshops. Assisting designers to design out risk and maintain the design risk register. Preparation of RIBA Stage CDM/Principal Designer reports. Advising and assisting clients in the appointment of designers and contractors. Preparation and issue of the Pre Construction Information. Submission of the F10 Notification to the HSE and review of Construction Phase Plans prior to works starting on site. Carrying out site inspections during the construction phase to monitor compliance. Undertaking site H&S inspections and report writing. Assisting with the writing of risk assessments and safe systems of work for clients. Health and Safety/CDM Consultant Requirements Construction related degree (desirable) Minimum of 18 months in a similar role. NEBOSH in Construction or equivalent qualification. Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM or similar professional body. Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
