Our client, a leading manufacturing powerhouse in the FMCG sector, is on the lookout for a dynamic and proactive HSE Manager to join their Blackburn team. This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of all HSE functions on site and play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this influential position offers the chance to implement meaningful changes and ensure compliance in a fast-paced, medium-risk manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the charge in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures. Take ownership of risk assessments, implementing robust control measures for medium-risk activities. Ensure full compliance with current HSE legislation and industry best practices. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations with a proactive approach. Inspire and empower employees through engaging HSE training and support. Be the go-to expert for all HSE matters on site. Collaborate with the site management team to enhance HSE standards and foster a positive safety culture. What We're Looking For: NEBOSH qualified (National General Certificate or equivalent) - a must-have! Proven experience in HSE Management within a manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG. A deep understanding of HSE legislation, regulations, and best practices. A hands-on, proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels. Strong experience in managing medium-risk environments, driving risk assessments, and leading impactful safety initiatives.
