Salary:

£55k-£65k + package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing but stable main contractor with operations across the Midlands and North of England.

Responsibilities

Support the Group Health and Safety Manager by providing necessary support and guidance to enable all employees to have a healthy and safe working environment.

Deputise for the Group Health and Safety Manager during absence or when necessary.

Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the strategic health and safety plan.

Assist in the development and monitoring of corporate health and safety objectives and targets.

Promote within the Group the continuous improvement philosophy.

Provide regular health and safety reports to the respective Management Board.

Provide competent health and safety advice to all employees on their duties and responsibilities regarding health and safety.

Assist with the assessment of risks to health, safety, and well-being and facilitate the implementation of necessary measures.

Assist in the development and implementation of Group health and safety policies and procedures.

About You Our ideal candidate must hold an appropriate level qualification, e.g., NEBOSH diploma. Experience in utilities, civil engineering, and mechanical and electrical construction would be an advantage.

You will have a high level of communication skills with the ability to motivate and influence others. Excellent time management, organisational, and decision-making skills are essential, along with good knowledge of IT skills including Microsoft Office.

Skills & Qualifications:

Higher level H&S qualification (ie NVQ Level 5, NEBOSH Diploma).

GradIOSH / CMIOSH / CertIOSH.

Appropriate IT skills / Information management skills.

High level communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to motivate and influence people.

Time management skills.

Decision making and problem solving within the extent of personal responsibility.
