A leading company in the food manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim HSE Manager to join their team on a 6-12 month contract. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by implementing a comprehensive corrective action plan and spearheading the preparation for ISO 45001 certification, ensuring safety excellence across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Corrective Action Implementation: Drive the execution of our HSE corrective action plan, addressing: Racking inspection, repair, and risk reduction Comprehensive COSHH risk assessments and controls Manual handling assessments and ergonomic solutions Internal traffic and pedestrian management improvements Working at height risk elimination and mitigation programs Noise assessment and reduction initiatives

ISO 45001 Preparation: Conduct gap analysis and implement a tailored management system to achieve ISO 45001 certification readiness. Expert Guidance and Training: Advise all organisational levels on health and safety best practices and design and deliver targeted safety training programs. Compliance Assurance: Ensure adherence to all applicable health and safety regulations and standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience: NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health & Safety Proven track record in HSE management within manufacturing or warehousing environments. Strong expertise in ISO 45001 and management system implementation Demonstrated ability in risk assessment and control measure development Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive cultural change

Desirable Skills: Experience in forklift truck safety and racking inspections Advanced knowledge of COSHH regulations and compliance Proficiency in noise assessment and mitigation strategies
