As the Health and Safety Manager, you will: Ensure the organisation complies with all Health & Safety regulations and best practices. Develop, implement, and maintain effective Health & Safety policies and procedures, including risk assessments and safe systems of work. Provide practical training and education to employees, coordinating with external providers where necessary. Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying potential hazards and driving corrective action. Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and implement preventive measures. Collaborate with managers to integrate safety processes into everyday operations. Develop and monitor Health & Safety performance metrics and present findings to senior stakeholders, including board-level reporting. Support accreditation processes such as ISO, ensuring compliance and assisting with audits. Stay informed about industry trends and legislation to maintain best practices. About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need: Essential Skills:

A recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH). Demonstrable experience in a Health & Safety role within the logistics, warehousing, ports/shipping, manufacturing or transport sectors. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others. Familiarity with ISO accreditation processes and managing audits. Key Attributes:

A pragmatic and adaptable approach to Health & Safety management. The ability to tailor solutions to diverse business needs and build strong partnerships with stakeholders. Must be passionate and highly driven.
