Our client is a main contractor specialising in new build projects. With a £15m turnover and multiple impressive projects in the pipeline, our client is looking to add a talented Health & Safety Manager to their team. Duties / Qualifications:

Site H&S inspections (10-15 projects live on site). IOSH plus a driving licence and a car. NEBOSH is an advantage. Preparing, updating and amending reports, procedures, documents and controls to satisfy the requirements of the group and to meet the highest possible standards of the Directors. Pro-actively working to constantly improve our Procedures, Systems of Work and Site working practices and to be problem-solving, not simply identifying. Carrying out all regular site and office inspections and preparing reports (report system is on internet portal, currently ProCore) on Health and Safety Welfare, Quality and Environmental matters and following up reports as necessary to ensure close out of any actions raised. Ensuring all Statutory Registers are maintained. Checking and assisting our site managers with the production of RAMS, COSHH, Noise, Manual Handling and all/any other necessary assessments. Identifying risk, hazard and trends, both actual and behavioural, and introducing and implementing briefings and themes to counter and motivate staff and operatives. Monitoring and recommending any further training for staff and operatives and monitoring progress by regular updates to the training matrix. Attending all necessary internal and external safety and management meetings and agreeing action schedules for implementation. Advising the Board of Directors and providing a detailed 6-monthly Audit report on all activities and an analysis of all relevant accident stats. Updating, amending, and re-drafting the Health, Safety, Welfare, COSHH, CDM & Environmental Policies of the company during February / March each year and implementing by 6th April. Implementing and administrating the Health, Safety, Welfare, COSHH and CDM Policies and Procedures for the group.
