Manufacturing Job Summary: The Health and Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment within the manufacturing facility. This role involves identifying risks, conducting audits, providing training, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations. The Health and Safety Manager will foster a culture of safety, reduce workplace hazards, and drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with regulations. Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections of the facility. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions. Deliver safety training programs to employees and management teams. Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics. Collaborate with department heads to integrate safety practices into daily operations. Maintain documentation and records related to health and safety activities. Lead emergency preparedness and response planning. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. - (Desirable) Relevant health and safety certifications (NEBOSH) - (Essential) Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environment. - (Essential) Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
