Contract Type: Permanent Closing date: 17th January 2025 DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to play a vital role ensuring continuous development and execution of Health and Safety across the business. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, you will: Providing support to department managers to fulfil all H&S obligations in line with Government and Company policies to ensure compliance. Ensuring all day-to-day issues are dealt with in accordance with legislation and company policies. Acting as the first point of contact for any site issues and dealing with them in a timely manner. Monitoring, evaluating and continuously improving standards of H&S performance and quality. Ensuring all records are accurate and up to date, including upkeep of risk assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Manual Handling Risk assessments. Being responsible for the design, delivery and review of all Health and Safety related training including induction and health and safety training files ensuring consistency across the Business Unit. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? Previous Health & Safety experience in a similar role within a warehouse environment. NEBOSH General certification or higher. COMAH Certification - desirable. Strong communicator across various levels - both written and verbal. A can-do attitude with the ability to work on your own initiative. Stakeholder management and ability to influence. High level of IT literacy - experience using Logics and Microsoft office applications would be advantageous.
