We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, hardworking, and flexible individual to join our team as a Health and Social Care Officer working night shift.

We provide a specialist respite and crisis service that supports adults with learning disabilities with additional complex support needs within a building base. The service enables families to have a short break while we support their family member within the service. Health & Social Care Officers play a vital role within the team.

These posts do not require specific experience or professional qualifications. What they really need is your caring approach, your patience, and your commitment to making a real difference to people’s lives.

Maintaining the dignity of people must always be a priority and successful applicants must be able to deliver care and support with sensitivity.

You will learn to use person-centred approaches to ensure that the needs and aspirations of the individuals we support are met and support people to express themselves, make choices, and utilise their own unique forms of communication/expression.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful, we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information, and we will check the barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.

You must be available to work a six-week rota pattern which includes working some weekends. There are enhanced payments for working unsocial hours. The shifts start at 9pm and finish at 8am. The post is for 33 hours per week.
