We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health and Social Care Trainer to join our client's team. The role involves delivering high-quality training programs for staff members supporting individuals with autism.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all team members are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to provide exceptional care and support, while adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities Training Development and Delivery: Design, plan, and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to the needs of individuals with autism and other related conditions.

Provide mandatory training (e.g., safeguarding, first aid, health and safety) as well as specialized autism-related training (e.g., sensory processing, behaviour management, communication strategies).

Training Needs Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify training needs across the team.

Collaborate with managers to create individualized development plans for staff.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure all training meets the required standards set by industry bodies such as the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Skills for Care.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, best practices, and emerging trends in autism support and health/social care.

Documentation and Evaluation: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and certifications.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance reviews, making adjustments where necessary.

Support and Mentorship: Provide ongoing mentorship and support to staff members, helping them apply their learning in practice.

Act as a point of contact for questions or concerns related to autism support.

Qualifications and Skills Essential:

Proven experience in training delivery within the health and social care sector. Strong knowledge of autism and related support strategies, including person-centred approaches. Relevant qualifications in training and/or health and social care. Up-to-date understanding of industry regulations and standards.

Desirable:

Experience in developing and implementing autism-specific training programs. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) principles. Accreditation or certification in autism-related disciplines.

Key Skills:

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to tailor training to meet diverse learning styles and needs. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Empathy and a passion for improving the lives of individuals with autism.
