Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, fostering a supportive environment for all residents. Duties Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences. Help implement and monitor care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress using IT systems. Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required. Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Qualifications Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting residents when needed. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is beneficial. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
