Glastonbury Health Centre is looking for an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of patients while carrying out a range of diagnostics to support the healthcare team in delivering high-quality care. You will display compassion, empathy, have excellent communication skills and will be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. There are many training and progression opportunities available for candidates looking to progress their knowledge and skills in a clinical setting. Main Duties of the Job

Venous blood sampling collection Performing blood pressure checks, including fitting 24hr blood pressure monitors, removal and completing referrals where required Pulse and temperature checks Recording patient height and weight Urinalysis ECG recording Ear checks and syringing Spirometry and FeNo Diabetes physical checks including foot checks Vaccinations and IM injections in line with protocol/competencies Simple wound care Person Specification

Experience

Experience of working in a healthcare environment (primary, secondary, or community) Previous experience in a similar role Clinical Skills

Venepuncture Recording ECGs Wound care Blood pressure monitoring Recording height, weight, pulse Taking patient history, conducting tests in line with protocols, recording patient information accurately Qualifications

Educated to NVQ Level 2+ in Healthcare Disclosure and Barring Service Check
