Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care or care home settings and possess strong communication skills in English. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients with their daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to care plans. Duties Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support patients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility assistance. Drive patients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes to the healthcare team. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Assist in the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety regulations. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Requirements Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required; additional languages are a plus. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting patients when necessary. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is beneficial. A compassionate attitude towards patient care and a commitment to maintaining dignity and respect for all individuals. Ability to work flexibly, including potential shifts during evenings or weekends as needed.
