Band 2 - Planned Orthopaedic Unit

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to join the team within the Surgical, Women's and Children's Division as a Clinical Support Worker.

Under the direction of the Sister/Charge Nurse, you will help us to ensure that we provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients.

You will need to possess good communication and interpersonal skills. A polite and courteous manner towards patients and relatives will be essential for this role, together with your ability to work under pressure, as part of a team as well as organizing your own workload.

Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided to ensure you have the skills required to fulfill the position.

Clinical Responsibilities: Work within the ward/department setting, providing high quality, caring, compassionate, and personal care to patients and their families/carers. Work under the direction of the Registered Healthcare Professionals and senior colleagues, both independently and as part of the multi-disciplinary team. Ensure a high standard of service provision within ward/department by practicing effective clinical and administrative preparation, effective communication, and care delivery, prioritizing workload appropriately, and contributing to service improvements. Participate in giving compassionate high-quality personal care to patients, prioritizing appropriately and developing competencies that safeguard practice. Act always in a manner that illustrates respect for privacy, dignity, equality, diversity, and confidentiality. Exhibit a professional attitude and behavior and demonstrate excellent customer care skills. Contribute to effective team working by being fully involved, committed, and participating towards achieving own and others' full potential.
