Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. Your ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy will be crucial in delivering high-quality care. The position available is 24 hours on a flexible rota system. Duties Provide person-centred care that is resident-focused and specific to the individual. Ensure care is provided as detailed in the care plan. Assist with all aspects of personal care such as bathing/showering, nutrition, hydration, and emotional well-being. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to the healthcare team. Manage medication and creams. Adhere to all policies and procedures. Report any non-conformities to the Care Coordinator or management. Documentation and record keeping. Safely handle property and equipment belonging to the residents and Primrose Bank. Report any complaints or raise any safeguarding issues to the office or Care Coordinator immediately. Attend hospital appointments and outings if required. Assist the catering team with drinks and tea trolley if required. Promote the independence of our residents and their well-being. Actively encourage residents to participate in activities happening within the home. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. Skills The candidate must hold an Adult Social Care apprenticeship level or equivalent, or be willing to work towards this. Attributes we are looking for in a candidate: Caring nature Positive outlook Hardworking Flexibility in regards to shift patterns Sound judgment in practical matters Smart and well-presented Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication with patients and team members. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes. Experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and their families. Job Type:
