Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home care and care homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with their daily activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Duties Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, adhering to care plans. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment. Drive patients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring timely arrivals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to IT systems used for patient management. Requirements Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to follow care plans accurately and provide compassionate support. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting patients when necessary. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies related to patient care management. A caring attitude with a commitment to improving the quality of life for patients.
