Overview The Healthcare Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of patients in various healthcare settings, including care homes and home care environments. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to providing high-quality care and assistance to those in need. The Healthcare Assistant will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that care plans are effectively implemented and that patients receive the support they require for their daily activities. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility. Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions to nursing staff or healthcare professionals. Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress using IT systems. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care. Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development to enhance caregiving skills. Skills Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. Ability to drive, providing transportation for patients when necessary. Familiarity with creating and following care plans to meet individual patient needs. Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and documentation purposes. Experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to make a positive impact on the lives of others while working within a supportive team environment. Job Types:
