To work as part of the Endoscopy department team assisting in the delivery of high-quality service delivery under the supervision of qualified staff. You will need to undertake key roles identified by the manager which will assist in the smooth running of the department. Main duties of the job

To participate in the smooth running of the department on a day to day basis. To be responsible for working with colleagues and managers to provide a safe and welcoming environment for staff, patients and relatives. To communicate effectively with all grades of staff. To communicate effectively with patients showing regard for their individual needs and for their right to confidentiality. To ensure all patient records are kept up to date, accurate and stored safely. With appropriate training learn to independently decontaminate endoscopes using the AER’s/use the drying cabinets. Working in Endoscopy at Cirencester Hospital under the supervision of qualified staff. To engage with all service users, patients and other teams within the Hospital setting. To develop your skills to meet the demands and diversity in this department. Endoscopy has a small team and requires staff to be flexible to meet our service delivery. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08.00 – 18.30. Currently, we do not work bank holidays or weekends. Person specification

C and above in GCSE English and Maths or level 4 and above (or equivalent adult literacy and numeracy). Care certificate. Experience

Demonstrates good working knowledge and actively contributes to the safety within the clinical environment. Some knowledge of decontamination of endoscopes – using washers and drying cabinets.
