NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. This is a permanent, part-time position of 34.5 hours per week. The shift pattern is rotational, dayshifts and nightshifts over 7 days. (Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.) As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will provide care to patients in support of the trained nurse and will regularly work unsupervised. Responsible within the national service for paediatric cardiac services to the whole of Scotland, catering for children and young people from birth to 16 years old. The ward exists as the only centre providing cardiac care for children in Scotland. Assignment of work will be by Senior Charge Nurse/Registered Nursing staff. The post holder will work supervised and exercise initiative within the scope of the role when providing patient care; however, a registered nurse will be available for advice and guidance. Key Responsibilities:

To provide patient care in support of a registered nurse to ensure delivery of a high quality of patient care. Record and report patient observations in care plans to ensure maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records. Accurate documentation of delivered and planned nursing care ensuring countersignature by registered nurse. Ensure patients receive appropriate help with feeding and complete fluid balance charts as necessary. Delivery of nasogastric feeding. Informal Contact:
