An opportunity has arisen in the Community Mental Health (CMHT) Team Area 3, Ty Einon Centre for a Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join our busy team. The team operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm except Bank Holidays. The CMHT consists of Psychiatrists, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Health Care Support Workers, Occupational Therapy Technicians, Psychologists, Administration staff, and Medical Secretaries. The Assertive Outreach Service and Eating Disorder Service are also based at Ty Einon Centre. Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills are essential as well as having a positive attitude to mental health care whilst ensuring individual needs for privacy, dignity, respect, and confidentiality are upheld at all times. Working as a member of the CMHT will involve working within the guidelines of the Mental Health (Wales) Measure 2010 and keeping the Recovery ethos at the forefront of nursing care. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential for this role. Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ in mental health/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or Equivalent Experience

Clinical experience working with patients who have complex mental health and social needs Experience of working with family and carers Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. £24,433 to £26,060 a year per annum pro rata Contract
