To provide day-to-day care for service users under the supervision of a Clinician which adheres to best practice, standards and guidelines, and contributes towards the service users' care and treatment. An opportunity has arisen for someone caring and enthusiastic to work part-time as a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker within the Denbighshire Community Mental Health Team. Candidates must hold a positive attitude towards the mental health care of the older persons client group and be able to ensure that individuals' needs for privacy, respect, dignity, and confidentiality are maintained at all times. The successful candidate will provide high standards of care and work as part of a well-established and supportive multidisciplinary team based at the Community Mental Health Team in Denbighshire. Qualifications and/or Knowledge

NVQ level 3 in Health & Social care related subjects or equivalent qualifications/experience Good knowledge of anatomy & physiology Understanding of multi-disciplinary/agency working and of individual team roles All Wales HCSW induction framework Training in Mental Health Understanding of risk management and health and safety issues Experience

Experience of working as a HCSW without direct supervision in a clinical setting and being managed by a qualified practitioner. Good understanding of risk assessment and management Significant experience of working in a caring environment for older people Experience of working in a mental health care setting Experience of working in the community Skills

Evidence of being able to provide wound care using aseptic technique Basic observations The ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
