to join our team based in

Oswestry.

You will join us on either a full-time or part-time, permanent basis. You will be required to work twelve and a half hour shifts both days and nights within this role. In return, our Health Care Support Worker will receive a competitive rate of

£23,327- £25,706 FTE per annum

(dependant on experience). Main duties of the job

What we are looking for: To provide high quality care in accordance with the child/young person’s individual care plan under the supervision of an appropriately qualified registered nurse. To act as a key worker supporting families through advocating, navigating and signposting them to services to meet their needs within their community. To participate fully in meeting the play, recreational and learning activities for the child/young person, utilising all resources available and in collaboration with the play leaders. To assist in the checking and administration of medicines under the supervision of Registered Nurses and undertake all relevant training required to support safe medicines management. About us

Essential Qualifications

Willingness to undertake QCF/NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care/childcare Willingness to undertake any further training relevant to role NVQ QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care or childcare Nursery Nurse Qualification or Equivalent Experience of working with children & young people or young adults in a care, community, or educational setting Some experience of basic personal care tasks Experience of providing care for a child/young person/adult with complex health needs and/or disability. Able and confident to work alone and to use initiative and respond assertively Good standard of communication skills e.g. reading/writing/verbal/computer skills and able to liaise with colleagues To understand the effects of living with a life limited/life threatened child/young person and behave sensitively to the needs of the child/young person and family To understand the importance of play and fun when caring for children/young people To work and understand the importance of working confidentially To be physically fit enough to move a child/young person with the appropriate hoisting equipment following training Disclosure and Barring Service Check
