Hertfordshire / Essex Border This market-leading food manufacturer, which supplies products to most of the major retailers, is seeking a proactive and driven NEBOSH qualified Health & Safety professional to spearhead the H&S agenda across their large, modern manufacturing facilities. This is a highly autonomous role where you will take full ownership of the site H&S agenda, making a significant impact in what is a newly created position. In this challenging and fast-paced role, you will report to the Site Director and be responsible for providing relevant expertise regarding Safety, Health, and Environmental matters, ensuring legislation and best practices are adhered to, and moving these systems forward through continuous improvement. A key aspect of this role will be to proactively develop and encourage a positive culture towards the Health, Safety, and Environmental welfare of all colleagues, identifying suitable and sufficient SHE training advice, and recommending appropriate training resources to achieve this. Initially a hands-on role driving the behavioral safety agenda, this position will grow into a more strategic role. To be considered for this role, you will be an existing Health & Safety / H&S Manager / SHE Manager, holding a NEBOSH Diploma, with previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as Food, Packaging, or Pharma, which is a prerequisite. An understanding of ISO14001 and BRC accreditations would be highly advantageous.
