Hertfordshire / Essex Border This market-leading food manufacturer, which supplies products to most of the major retailers, is seeking a proactive and driven NEBOSH qualified Health & Safety professional to spearhead the H&S agenda across their large, modern manufacturing facilities. This is a highly autonomous role, and as such, you will take full ownership of the site H&S agenda – this is a great challenge for an established H&S employee to make a significant impact in what is a newly created role. Within this challenging and fast-paced role, you will report to the Site Director and be responsible for providing relevant expertise regarding everything Safety, Health, and Environmental, ensuring legislation and best practices are adhered to, and then moving these systems forward through continuous improvement. A key aspect of this role will be to proactively develop and encourage a positive culture towards Health, Safety, and Environmental welfare of all colleagues and identify suitable SHE training advice and recommend appropriate training resources to achieve this. Initially a hands-on role driving the behavioral safety agenda, this will grow into a larger, more strategic role. This is a high-profile position whereby the successful candidate will be in the spotlight and looked upon to set the standard in best practices. This organization can provide career opportunities that are second to none. Minimum Requirements: Existing Health & Safety / H&S Manager / SHE Manager. NEBOSH Diploma. Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as Food, Packaging, Pharma, etc. Understanding of ISO14001 and BRC accreditations is highly advantageous. Ability to initiate and implement new policies and procedures.
