Fixed term contract, 12 months Role Description

This role is to assist the Health and Safety Manager in delivering the team’s key responsibilities in ensuring the safety of all our staff, contractors, customers, and visitors at our events. This starts in the office, where you will be integral to the collation and formation of event documents, among other key processes in the buildup to festival season. This then extends to onsite responsibilities, where you will be expected to provide support and advice to the event teams and assist the onsite Health and Safety Coordinator as necessary. This role will largely be office-based but occasionally there may be some need to work onsite at festivals (although, this won’t be the case for all shows). What it’s like to work in the Team

Although we’re a small team, our size allows us to engage with different departments more closely, building relationships and improving ideas with the aim to enhance experiences on our festival sites in a safe manner. Who you are

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience A background in events would be highly advantageous. Experience in/exposure to the construction industry could be beneficial to this role. Strong organisational ability with excellent attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Basic knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 – IOSH / NEBOSH qualifications desirable but not required. IT Proficient. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel (e.g. VLookUp and Pivot Tables). Practical and logical thinking (common sense) in addressing challenges and making decisions. Good team player with initiative to work individually. Comfortable being outdoors and working in non-office environments. What the role includes

Assisting in the collation and organisation of internal documents and contractor document submissions. Reviewing and updating event specific documents. Liaising with internal departments to provide support and communication with external contractors as necessary. Attending meetings as required, minute taking and document distribution. Providing and supporting the onsite health and safety team, to ensure a safe delivery of build, break and show. Being involved on site with the health and safety processes and procedures to ensure compliance. To drive a positive H&S culture within the company / industry using different initiatives and cooperation. Proactive Attitude: Ability to take initiative and contribute to the smooth running of events. Other duties as necessary to fulfil the role and duties of the department as directed.
