Role Purpose The Health & Safety Inspector will be responsible for conducting detailed inspections and compiling risk assessment reports on health and safety and fire safety across the HML Group and B-hive Property Partners portfolio. Main Duties and Responsibilities Produce Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessment Reports for the HML Group, B-hive Property Partners, and external clients, in accordance with current legislation. Visit premises to undertake H&S and Fire Risk Assessments of various properties. Conduct accident/incident investigations and produce remedial reports following incidents on-site related to potential H&S claims. Meet with clients/RMC Directors to explain their obligations and compliance requirements. Conduct training sessions on relevant topics using available resources. Advise Property Managers on queries arising from report content. Provide technical advice to Property Managers/colleagues within HML Group or B-hive Property Partners. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current legislation to ensure reports reflect any changes. Liaise with Fire/Enforcement Officers during inspections by the Local Fire Authority or regarding Enforcement Notices. Maintain CPD and professional knowledge to an excellent standard. This role requires familiarity with all current H&S and Fire Safety legislation relevant to the properties managed by HML. Experience in completing Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessment reports is essential, with relevant qualifications (i.e., NEBOSH, IOSH, FPA, etc.) preferred. The employee will need to stay updated on legislation changes and attend training courses to continually expand their knowledge. They will also advise and guide Property Managers on the recommendations detailed in their reports and liaise with Company Directors in response to queries upon receipt of the report. The role involves conducting reports for blocks managed by the HML Group, requiring nationwide travel. The Inspector will likely need to be office-based one day a week, with the remaining four days spent on-site completing reports. Person Profile / Skill Set Comprehensive knowledge of H&S and Fire safety. Positive and calm demeanor. IT literate. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. High level of accuracy in checking and processing information. Ability to form good relationships with colleagues and clients. Broad understanding of Property Management/Leasehold Management. Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
