My client is one of the UK's top reinforced concrete structures (for commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure) and Civil Engineering contracting specialists. With a secured turnover of over £120m per annum, they are growing year on year.
The award of a number of major schemes in The Midlands has created the need for a new health and safety professional within the business.
My client is looking for someone with a Civil Engineering contracting background - excavation, drainage, pile caps, etc. experience are all very relevant. There is a basic salary of £65-75k or approx £365+ per day with room for negotiation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-known and respected name in the industry at a senior operational level on one of their key projects - this is a structures and Civil Engineering package on a project for Network Rail - a new railway station in Birmingham. This project is a key section of the ongoing work for the HS2 project.
The ideal candidate will be NEBOSH qualified, hold the CSCS Safety Manager card (desirable but not essential), and be able to work closely with the main contractor/client, chairing meetings, day-to-day liaison, reporting, and compliance documentation.
