This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy office in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for putting in place electronic health and safety compliance, site inspections and audits, CDM compliance, ensuring compliance of our approved subcontractors and fleet management. As a smaller family organisation, it will be a varied role.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing the health and safety of multiple insurance claims sites Health and safety within the office environment Health and safety of subcontractors and subcontractors approved list Site inspections and audits Asbestos sampling and surveying Fleet maintenance and safety
Requirements:
Appropriate H&S qualifications Asbestos Sampling and Surveying qualifications (not essential but willingness to obtain appropriate accreditation) Demonstrable proven track record in a similar role with a strong background in building trades Experience of insurance re-instatement would be a great advantage, however not essential Excellent communication skills within the team environment Ability to work as part of a team and work with tradesmen and contracts manager to ensure a safe working environment Willingness to occasionally travel to our Gateshead Office to fulfil the role
The role would be a perfect opportunity for an independent asbestos surveyor or Health and Safety advisor to work part-time within a team - flexible working hours available.
In return, you will receive a salary of between £35,000-£40,000 (pro rata) negotiable depending on experience, company performance bonus scheme, pension scheme (hourly paid based on 18-24 hour standard week Monday - Thursday).
