As the Health and Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our commitment to creating a safe and compliant workplace. Working closely with the QSHE Manager, you will take the lead in Health and Safety, ensuring that best practices are upheld throughout all areas of our operations. In collaboration with the wider QSHE team, including specialists in Quality, Environmental Management, Learning & Development, Dangerous Goods Safety (DGSA), and Administration, you will drive adherence to Health and Safety legislation, company policies, and contractual obligations. By managing and supporting a dedicated Health and Safety team, you’ll champion the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Health and Safety policies and procedures. Your role will serve as a central resource for Health and Safety guidance, providing a consistent and unified approach across the entire contract. Your Responsibilities

Provide leadership to the H&S team, setting clear performance expectations and supporting direct reports in the identification and setting of their business and developmental goals. Line management responsibility for QSHE (H&S) advisors, ensuring team are supported in all HR matters and in accordance with KN HR policies and procedures. Collaborate with site managers, contractors, and external agencies to promote a safety-conscious culture. Ensure a suitable and sufficient risk assessment process is in place and effectively managed. Ensure the incident management systems are effectively managed, that incidents are suitably reported, investigated and mitigating actions identified and implemented in a timely manner. Manage learning and development requirements for self and direct report, ensuring mandatory training requirements are kept up to date and supporting professional development.
