We are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our Head Office team based in Lacock, Wiltshire.

As our Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment across all Stonegate Farmers operations.

This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies while fostering a strong safety culture. Working proactively with all departments to minimise risks, prevent accidents, and promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance. About Stonegate Farmers Ltd Stonegate Farmers Ltd is an integrated free range and organic egg business organised across three divisions comprising farming and agriculture, egg packing and cooked egg processing. Established in 1926 and under new ownership since 2016, we have grown into one the largest free-range and organic egg producers within the UK. Moving millions of mother nature s most fragile food items every day takes finesse and know how. We work closely with our producers to collect, grade and package each individual egg. We deliver daily from hen houses right across the country to the most exclusive restaurants and to many of the UK s leading supermarkets, together with first class egg products to some of the biggest names in food manufacturing. So many fresh eggs requires fresh thinking therefore we only employ the most enthusiastic people for our operations, who have hearts of gold just like our eggs! Role & Responsibilities: Standards & Management Systems Lead site-specific H&S projects, applying expertise to drive improvements. Manage the site risk assessment register, oversee action progress, and ensure completion of specialist risk assessments. Administer the Incident Management System, ensuring thorough investigations, root cause analysis, and proper resolution. Establish systems to monitor and measure H&S effectiveness, identifying non-conformities and implementing corrective actions. Incident Management Support operations in managing incidents and emergencies, ensuring up-to-date procedures, drills, and emergency equipment. Root cause analysis for all accidents and incidents Provide detailed incident reports to senior management and external stakeholders. Develop and implement preventative measures, updating processes, procedures, equipment, and training to mitigate future risks. Policy, Procedure & Training Ensure H&S policies, procedures, and documentation are regularly reviewed and updated in response to incidents and improvement opportunities. Identify training needs, track compliance, and ensure resources are available. Inspections & Audits To conduct pre-determined or ad-hoc H&S inspections / audits to drive improvements and ensure procedures / practices are being adhered to. Engagement & Communication Foster a strong Health & Safety culture by engaging with colleagues at all levels through behavioural observations, coaching, analysis, and open communication. Provide coaching, advice, and support to ensure robust and well-maintained safe systems of work. Facilitate effective communication across all channels, ensuring H&S awareness through meetings, briefings, and site forums. Person Specification: Able to display our company values:

Qualifications / Experience: NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety (Essential). Working Knowledge and experience of ISO 45001/14001 management system standards, compliance, and auditing techniques Proven experience in a Health & Safety management role, preferably within food production, agriculture, or FMCG industries. Previous experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
