They will spearhead all aspects of QHSE performance, ensuring continuous improvement across our internal processes, systems, and standards, while safeguarding their ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 accreditations. Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental

Develop and implement QHSE policies and procedures to promote a company-wide, safety-first culture and a healthy work environment. Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, risks, non-conformances and opportunities for improvement (OFIs). Travel to site at least once per month to conduct audits will be expected. Provide leadership and guidance to employees on QHSE matters, including developing and delivering monthly training sessions and issuing safety bulletins. Investigate all accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances to determine the root cause using appropriate QHSE methods, identifying appropriate corrective and preventative actions and coordinating their implementation. Produce accurate and timely QHSE Monthly Management Reports and Quarterly Board Reports. Chair and drive QHSE Committee meetings, ensuring raised actions are reviewed, communicated and closed out. Coordinate weekly Toolbox Talks to reinforce safety messages and raise awareness amongst employees, both office and site, about potential hazards, proper procedures and company policies. Compile Weekly Vehicle Checklists from site teams. Compile daily site whereabouts and maintain accurate record of man hours. Ensure all equipment is calibrated and fit for purpose. Understand current legislative requirements and update policies and procedures in case of changes, highlighting concerns to senior management. Enforce compliance to these requirements throughout the business. Conduct and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMs) together with office, project and site teams to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures. Liaise with Projects to issue and update safe work instructions and review COSHH requirements. Responsible for ensuring COSHH assessments are up to date. Manage the Training Matrix, conduct regular review of training needs, and arrange mandatory training for all staff. Conduct QHSE inductions for all new employees and subcontractors. Responsible for maintaining our certifications such as Constructionline, NICEIC, Achilles, and CHAS, ensuring that these are consistently upheld and adhered to. Manage the Emergency Preparedness & Response process.

BMS Management

Own and maintain the Business Management System (BMS) in line with the requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001. Conduct induction and training of BMS for all new employees. Conduct internal audits of the BMS processes to ensure understanding and compliance. Act as the Management Representative for external audits and interaction with auditors. Alert Senior Management Team to all serious non-conformances and persistent risks, proposing preventative and corrective actions. Prepare and facilitate the annual BMS Management Review.

Essential Criteria:

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent). Technical membership of IOSH or equivalent professional body. Environmental Management qualification (such as IEMA). Sound knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001. Minimum 2 years experience as QHSE advisor/manager in the construction and utilities sector. Demonstrated ability to uphold certifications such as Constructionline, NICEIC, Achilles and CHAS. Strong leadership skills with experience in driving QHSE performance across multi-disciplinary teams. Desirable Criteria:
