Health & Safety Manager

to ensure compliance with HSE legislation, develop and manage safety programmes, communicate effectively with HSE and operations teams, embed risk mitigation and governance in all processes, and cultivate a safety-conscious culture across the organisation. As our Health & Safety Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures across the facility to ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory standards. You will lead safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks. Regular inspections and safety data analysis will form a key part of your role to continuously enhance safety performance and ensure a safe working environment. Additionally, you will organise and lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and a health and safety committee to promote a positive safety culture. You will also develop and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programmes, including onboarding for new hires, ongoing training, and specialised sessions as needed. Ensuring employees are properly trained in equipment use, emergency procedures, and PPE will be a priority, alongside fostering employee engagement to build a culture of safety awareness at all levels. With a visible presence across the site, you will work closely with operations and management teams to monitor compliance, communicate effectively, and drive behavioural change initiatives to embed best practices across all company activities. What you will need to be successful in this role : Possess a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification, or working towards it. Experience in conducting safety audits, investigations, and risk assessments. Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial. Strong administrative skills, particularly using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent time management, including the ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail. Organizational skills and the ability to generate all required reports. Strong team player and passionate about HSE. Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales. To communicate effectively, positively, and respectfully with all colleagues. To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment. Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills. Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues. Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety. This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
