We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a global manufacturing/distribution business in a newly created role as UK Health & Safety Manager.
This is a new position due to growth; the business has ambitious plans for expansion and there is huge potential for career development within the organisation. Being a new role, there is great scope for someone to make a mark, implement new ways of working, drive improvements, and be a real driver of Safety culture in the organisation.
Duties include:
Develop, implement and manage health and safety policies, procedures, and systems Ensure compliance with local, national and international standards including OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards in the workplace Develop and implement action plans to address and mitigate risks Lead accident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences Conduct health and safety training for employees at all levels Promote and foster a strong safety culture in the business Advise management on best practices and improvements for employee health and safety
Prior experience in a similar role is essential and the ideal candidate will have experience of implementing ISO health and safety standards previously.
