Health and Safety Officer, part time, Salary 40-50k pro-rata
3-4 days a week, on site at Whetstone. Travel to Europe required, normally once a quarter.
Our client is looking for a part time HS Officer, must be familiar with risk assessments, environmental, ESG etc.
Responsibilities: Work in conjunction with the Site Leader Senior Leadership team to maintain and advise on health and safety legislation through leadership activities to promote and improve a positive health and safety culture, all in accordance with Corporation Environmental, Health Safety Policies. Strict adherence to EHS - 006 - 200 - Environmental Health Safety Workplace Incident Prevention Policy. Provide a safe and healthy working environment for our employees and all those who are working on our behalf. Strive for zero workplace incidents. Work to minimize the environmental impact of our operations, manage our energy usage, and reduce waste and emissions. Comply with applicable EHS laws and regulations and internal IDEX policies, procedures, and standards. Assess the EHS risks associated with our operations, and identify and implement methods to mitigate or avoid those risks. Actively seek the input and participation of employees in the management of EHS to prevent workplace accidents and injuries, including by providing EHS training and recognizing best practices. Integrate EHS priorities into our standard business practices and processes. Drive change through continuous improvement, including by setting goals and measuring and communicating our performance accordingly.
What You'll Need: Management and leadership of a diverse team and processes through a Matrix system. Problem solving and root cause analysis tools. Excellent computer skills. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Ability to facilitate presentations before management groups.
What You'll Have: Degree in a suitable transferable discipline. Management or leadership qualification preferred.
