What the role involves

• Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and continence care.
• Supporting with daily routines such as getting up, preparing for bed, and changing clothes.
• Provide nutritional support by assisting at mealtimes and preparing drinks or snacks.
• Follow individualised care plans as instructed by healthcare professionals.
• Report, and document any changes in residents' condition or behaviour.
• Assisting with accurate record-keeping, using paper or electronic systems as required.

Skills and requirements

• Previous experience in a care home, home care, or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
• Completion of or willingness to complete NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Valid driving licence is beneficial for roles involving home care (if applicable).
• Reliable, kind, and patient with a genuine desire to support others.
