Health Care Support Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship

at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The posts are available in an NHS Healthcare environment while completing a Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification (15 months).

We are looking for enthusiastic people with a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, a positive work ethic, and good interpersonal skills.

Your apprenticeship will include the Care Certificate and relevant in-house courses.

Successful applicants can develop their careers through this funded training programme. Staff new to the Trust will be employed under an apprentice contract to 'earn while they learn'. Rotation opportunities are available in all NHS clinical areas including surgery, medicine, theatres, physiotherapy, and community care, with placements available trust-wide.

If successful in being offered the apprenticeship, you will be required to provide evidence of 5 GCSE certificates at level A - E (9-2), including Maths and English.

Job responsibilities

Work under the supervision of the practitioner and staff members in the delivery of high-quality care. Provide assistance and support to a broad spectrum of service users and the multi-disciplinary team. Assist with the daily workload within a department. Gain relevant work-based learning within a Healthcare environment. Become prepared and knowledgeable within the working environment and work towards gaining a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Healthcare support worker. Upon successful completion, further NHS apprenticeships are available, including Level 3 (equivalent to 2 A levels), Level 5 (equivalent to an Undergraduate Degree), Level 6 (equivalent to a Degree), and Level 7 (equivalent to a Masters).
