An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) in the Tayside Out of Hours Service. The HCSW will work as part of our multidisciplinary team delivering urgent care to patients in the Out of Hours (OOH) period. You will carry out routine individual care duties for patients, clients, carers, and relatives, delegated and supervised by a Team Leader or registered nurse, as well as carry out assigned duties to maintain a safe, person-centred environment.
You must be caring with excellent communication and organisational skills. Good IT skills and previous experience in a Healthcare Assistant role are essential. You must be flexible and able to work all shift patterns within a 24/7 working rota which includes Christmas, New Year, and Public Holidays.
THESE ARE NIGHTSHIFT & WEEKEND POSITIONS and enhancements will be paid for this role. Your main base will be in Kings Cross Hospital Dundee, but as a Tayside-wide service, the ability to drive and travel throughout Tayside to our Primary Care Emergency Centres (PCECs) and working with the MDT in the wider OOH service is also a requirement of the post.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
