Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust An opportunity has arisen for a band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join the fast-paced team on the children inpatient ward (G2 ward). If this sounds like you or you are looking for a new challenge, we are interested in hearing from you!

Main Duties of the Job You will be expected to support and work alongside the nursing staff to ensure that high-quality care is delivered to the children and their families that access our service.

Evidence of excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment are essential for the role. Evidence of Childcare/nursery nurse training is also essential.

It is our responsibility to provide you with opportunities and support to develop further skills that will enable you to extend and enhance the role.

Person Specification Training & Qualifications

NVQ level 2 or equivalent or above in Health or Health and Social Care or working towards NVQ childcare/NEEB/City & Guilds

Basic understanding of normal child development

Experience & Knowledge

One year's experience working with children and the general public.

Previous NHS experience

Skills & Ability

Able to work without direct supervision.
