Job Description Hedge Accountant AVP - Corporate Investment Bank

Manage and oversee all aspects of hedge accounting Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations [former IAS 32/39 - IFRS 9 Impairments, Cash Flow, Fair Value] Prepare and present detailed reports on hedge activities [products sitting at global level - FX / IR / Credit / Net Investment Hedging] and performance [MI] Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial efficiency and profitability Identify and mitigate financial risks related to hedging Stay up-to-date on changes in financial regulations and standards Contribute to the development and implementation of department goals and strategies Provide guidance and support to junior team members The Successful Applicant Hedge Accountant AVP - Corporate Investment Bank

A successful Hedge Accountant AVP should have: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, all others welcome) Excellent Excel skills (VBA, SQL, Python highly desirable but not necessary) Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations - knowledge of language of Hedge Accounting (Cash Flow, Fair Value) Experience with hedge accounting in the financial services industry Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and leadership abilities What's on Offer An estimated salary range of £65,000 - £72,000 per annum Competitive benefits package (market leading -- more upon application) Opportunity to work in a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive company culture Professional development and career progression opportunities The chance to work in the heart of Docklands, London, a global financial hub.
