HGV Mechanic
Mechanic focuses on ensure the maintenance of accurate records of all work undertaken on the vehicle fleet and machinery.
What the role involves
- Ensure the maintenance of accurate records of all work undertaken on the vehicle fleet and machinery.
- Assisting in the planning of the vehicle maintenance schedules, liaising with operations staff where necessary.
- Provide advice to drivers.
- Attend vehicle breakdowns when necessary arranging for the appropriate work to be carried out.
- Conduct all duties in a safe and proper manner, as defined in the Safe Working Practices.
Skills and requirements
- City & Guilds Level 5 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles (or equivalent experience).
- Full C+E Driving Licence.
- Driver Qualification Card (35 hours Driver CPC completed).
- Experience working with large hydraulic systems.

- MPI are looking for a temporary Senior Technician (Fleet & Plant Maintenance), for our client based in Huntington.
Additional role context
- As a Senior Technician, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance.
- Repair, inspection, and diagnostic work while supporting the Workshop Manager in the day-to-day coordination of workshop activities.
- Also provide technical guidance to colleagues and help ensure the efficient delivery of fleet maintenance services.
