Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician. Due to the expansion of our own fleet, we have an exciting opportunity for an HGV Mechanic to join our growing team. About us: Insight Trans Logistics Ltd have been serving the business community since 1998. We specialize in providing European logistic services to a wide customer base, handling everything from package loads of groupage to Gibraltar to STGO abnormal loads. We have adapted our capabilities to supplying Spain with Flatbed trailers from England and maneuvering exceptional cargo with a “can do” attitude. We’ll need you to: Service and inspect vehicles competently and report on their condition, safety, reliability, and performance (MOT). Diagnose and report on vehicle or component defects or symptoms of impending failure. Ensure all service and maintenance sheets, customer defect reports, manufacturer paperwork, and electronic documentation are fully completed and signed off. Interpret and implement technical service instructions to ensure repairs or replacements are conducted per manufacturer instructions. Occasionally carry out roadside repairs and recover defective or damaged vehicles within legal terms. Draw the Workshop Manager’s attention to any faults that could make the vehicle dangerous or illegal for public highway use. Protect all vehicles under repair against damage and inspect each vehicle for damage and cleanliness upon completion of repair. Attend recognized courses of instruction as required and assist in training apprentices upon assignment. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the working area and a presentable personal appearance, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements. Report any broken or faulty equipment to the Workshop Manager. Who are you: Time-served Technician with City & Guilds or equivalent. Experience in diagnostics, safety inspections, and routine maintenance. General mechanical ability. Enthusiastic, team player, and flexible. It would be advantageous if you had: LGV IRTEC Inspection Technician certification. HGV Licence. Job Types:
