We have a great opportunity for an HGV Mechanic/Driver to join our team.
We are looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team. Please do not apply if you have no experience. The successful candidate will have a strong background in HGV repair and maintenance, be able to diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical issues, and have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will also be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, provide excellent customer service, and have a positive attitude.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
Carrying out diagnostic repairs
Vehicle maintenance and PMI inspections
MOT preparations
Reporting vehicle defects to the Workshop Manager
Operating in a tidy and safe manner
Vehicle recovery and breakdowns
What you’ll need to join the team:
Qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics
Experience in the repair and maintenance of HGV vehicles within the commercial vehicle industry
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work as part of a team
Problem-solving skills
Full UK Driving licence
HGV licence
Previous experience in recovery preferred but not required
