HGV Workshop Controller—Worsley—Permanent Role
Salary:
£23-£25 per hour (depending on experience). Overtime is available and paid at a time and a half after your shift or on Saturday between 0800 and 1200. Shift: Monday to Friday 22:00-07:00 30 minute break (unpaid) Example OTE:
(based on £25ph & working x2 optional Saturdays per month, 8am–12am, paid at time and a half): £62,100 per annum. Silver Arrow are currently recruiting for an HGV Workshop Controller to work for our client based in Worsley on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an industry leading company, with excellent working conditions and benefits. Your Role: Manage and oversee the operations of the workshop. Coordinate and schedule work assignments for workshop staff. Oversee the maintenance and repair of HGVs by working closely with your team. You’ll be directly involved in diagnosing issues and ensuring that high standards of quality are met. Tackle technical challenges head-on, using your hands-on experience to guide and assist your team in finding effective solutions. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices, and fostering a collaborative, hands-on work environment. Personally inspect and test vehicles to ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed to the highest standards. Extensive experience in HGV maintenance and repair, with a proven ability to perform complex mechanical tasks. Hands-on leader who can inspire and guide a team of technicians. Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. A genuine interest in HGVs and a commitment to keeping them running smoothly. Level 3 City and Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or an equivalent qualification (desirable). Full Clean Driving Licence (HGV 1 licence desirable). At Silver Arrow, our priority is you.
