Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Chester Hours: Full-time Start Date: As Soon As Possible Duration: Until February 2025 Are you a dedicated and experienced HLTA looking for a fulfilling role in a supportive school setting? We are currently seeking a HLTA to work one-to-one with a pupil in Year 3 at a primary school based in Chester. The successful candidate must have experience with behaviour management and be ready to step up as an HLTA in class when needed. Required Qualifications: - Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience - Experience working with students with behavioural needs - Ability to support learning across different subjects Job Description: As a HLTA, you will work closely with a Year 3 student, providing individualised support to help them achieve their full potential. You will also be prepared to step into a classroom HLTA role as required, supporting teaching and learning across various subjects and year groups. The HLTA role adds further support to those teaching in a classroom environment. The post is more senior than a teaching assistant, and comes with added responsibilities. A HTLA may be required to teach classes on their own at times, or cover planned absences to allow teaching staff to plan and mark. To become a HLTA you must have experience as a teaching assistant. You will also need the support of your school and senior staff.
