8a Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist/Highly Specialist Psychological Therapist

to work within the Service. This role is for Monday - Friday 9-5. Main duties of the job

The role is Trustwide and will involve direct therapeutic activities and liaison/co-working with the Employee Support Service and various other departments. The successful candidate will be registered with a professional body (HCPC, GMC, NMC, SW-E), have previous experience of working at an 8a level, be committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of employees and have experience of providing a range of psychological interventions for trauma, anxiety, stress and depression. The post holder will report directly to the Clinical Lead for Health and Well-being and will be required to offer online video appointments (individual and group) and face-to-face appointments in the North of the Trust or at the Flatts Lane Centre, Middlesbrough as required for individual colleagues and team support. Job responsibilities

The post holder will provide a range of psychological interventions for trauma, anxiety, stress and depression. Interventions are designed to meet the needs of colleagues within the trust and therefore the post offers scope for innovation and joint initiatives with the other Health and Well-being work within the Trust. Psychologists & Psychological Therapists provide key leadership roles within the Trust. Qualifications

A qualification that leads to registration with a professional regulatory body (HCPC, GMC, NMC or Social Work England) AND current registration with this professional regulatory body. A qualification that provides eligibility to apply for accreditation in one of the four Governed Psychological Therapies. Trained and experienced in generic clinical supervision and care co-ordination. Evidence of continuing relevant CPD, including clinical practice and leadership within the NHS. Post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical/counselling/forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS. HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist. Completion of a BPS approved Clinical Supervision course for eligibility to provide supervision of applied psychology trainees. EITHER commencing post-doctoral training in a Governed Psychological Therapy or Neuropsychology OR completion of post qualification training in area of specialised psychological practice relevant to the team/service area OR the equivalent level of expertise relating to a specialty area of psychological practice. Substantial post qualification experience of specialist model specific psychological assessment, formulation and treatment of clients across a wide range of care settings and age ranges. Exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care as a care coordinator within the context of a multidisciplinary team. Significant experience in consultation, clinical supervision and audit activities. Experience of providing training to other professional groups and to relevant training courses (e.g. medical, nursing, social work). Quality and service improvement and evaluation. Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Leadership development commensurate with the banding as outlined on the NHS Leadership Academy Leadership Cards. Evidence of considering culture, power and privilege within direct clinical work, indirect clinical work and service development projects. Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinical sensitive information to clients, their family, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS. Able to provide a wide range of understanding of staff H&WB needs. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
