Main duties of the job
As an experienced and highly specialist SLT, you will independently prioritise and manage a community caseload, which includes Community Hospital, Clinics, domiciliary, and care homes.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to further develop their existing skills and work in an exciting and dynamic team.
The ideal candidate must be able to work independently as well as part of a team and have good time management and prioritisation skills.
The post holder will be required to participate in service development initiatives.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, which will include mandatory training, systems training, and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe

Job responsibilities
Provide a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy Service to clients referred with communication and/or swallowing difficulties to include assessment, diagnoses, and treatment.
Following assessment, and utilising specialist knowledge and skills, design and develop evidence-based treatment and management programmes to be implemented within the multi-disciplinary teams and the clients' families.
Make differential diagnoses based on assessment evidence, providing advice when appropriate.
