The Assistive Communication Service (ACS) has been identified by NHS England as one of the specialised Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) services for London. We deliver specialised AAC assessments, prescription, initial training, and setup of equipment.
The ACS team accepts referrals for children and adults in the following boroughs:
Hammersmith and Fulham Kensington and Chelsea Westminster Barnet Camden Islington Haringey Hackney Tower Hamlets City Enfield The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of high-quality, client-centered, and goal-oriented therapeutic care, using evidence-based practice leading in the area of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) for clients referred to the ACS.
The post has an excellent line management structure, supported by the Principal SLT for AAC and the multidisciplinary team at the Assistive Communication Service.

The maintenance of skills within the ever-evolving field of AAC is particularly supported, with an emphasis on self-directed learning and training as appropriate.
