The successful post holder will be an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with competencies in Dysphonia, dysphagia, and related acquired communication difficulties. You will work closely with our established multi-disciplinary voice and ENT teams and be a valued contributor to the joint SLT/ENT voice clinics. You will be experienced in the supervision of Speech and Language Therapy staff, and in service development and innovation. Competencies in Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing, Videofluoroscopy, tracheostomy management, and laryngectomy would be desirable.
The Team Leader post holder will be responsible for all elements of operational line management of staff members working within their team (including but not limited to day-to-day support and queries, carrying out regular management supervision with staff members, supporting the team and services to develop) and will be directly involved in recruitment exercises within the team.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be a member of the reporting and supporting Language and Speech Management management group. Initial support and training will be available.
The main duties of the role will include: Use training skills and promote high quality services and the highest levels of management offer development services. Working with Language and Speech Therapy staff e.g. learning in key service areas, to ensure that the operational and attainment services are regulatory. Supervise the Speech and Language Therapy program and other professionals to ensure that they provide their work skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Recognised qualification degree / equivalent in S& lt HCPC registered Post graduate study relevant to clinical area at Masters level or equivalent demonstrable experience at this level. Able to demonstrate continuing professional development e.g. up to date, relevant CPD portfolio. Clinical supervisory skills training.

Membership of appropriate clinical network group. Other professional or academic qualification which relates to clinical practice. Accredited Practice Placement Educator Certificate.
