Reporting to the Regional Field Manager, the successful Maintenance Team Leader will be responsible for planning maintenance tasks, leading a team of Field Engineers, and delivering our highways technology maintenance contracts in the Eastern Area (the top of M25, M4, M11 and bottom of the M1, A14, M40, A1(M)).

What you'll do:

Ability to plan and organize work schedules, allocate resources, and prioritize tasks to meet service level agreements (SLAs), deadlines, and budgets. Meet all service delivery SLA/KPI requirements whilst maintaining a professional attitude. Effective planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks, creating and executing preventive and corrective maintenance plans, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. Travel within the assigned area to complete site inspections. Be responsive to any issues that arise, applying a solution-oriented mindset to overcome obstacles. Ensure that all members of the team comply with health and safety regulations and that all work is conducted in a safe manner, especially when working on motorways/busy roadways.

Who you are:

The Maintenance Team Leader should have a combination of technical expertise in highways technology, leadership and management skills, and a strong understanding of health, safety, and regulatory standards. With strong planning skills to plan the engineers' work (daily, weekly, monthly), this role could also suit an engineer looking to take that next step.

Maintenance Team Leader Key Requirements:

Have a technical knowledge of Highways Technology: copper/fibre, router devices, wireless networks, servers, Cat5, Coax, and who understands fibre and its limitations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheets for planning and ideally Remedy. Planning maintenance tasks, have incident management experience, and an eye for detail. Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance is a requirement for this role. Full UK Driving Licence.
